Best Cribs

Best CribsWhat are the best beds to purchase?

I am a new mom and I was wondering what is the best type of crib to buy? I thought to do that which comes with a changing station or one of those convertible advice on what I need to look for when buying a crib?

I agree not to get a crib drop-side. I read recently that the U.S. Congress is considering passing a law to prohibit the drop-side cribs for not losing your money and space on one because it may be impossible to get rid of it after less either demolished or returned as part of a return program.

I just received the Jenny Lind crib (convertible) as Babies R Us gift form. The ads say that it is a position at level 4 or 5 for the mattress, but it is only 3. I like the fact that it has blocked the wheels (one side). The reading assembly instructions are easy to put together is an Olympic feat.

Look for one that
1) is adapted to the needs of your space
2) is convertible
3) no drop side

Also, do not go by measures written to the store with a tape measure to your own (at least 5 feet in length) and measure a floor model SOI. I'm glad I did. Measurements have been written off by a few centimeters and in my little house, every inch matters.

Make sure you do not get a crib with a drop down side, make sure both sides of the crib are stabilized. Someone gave us a drop-down list reads like a gift and after about seven months, my son stood up in the crib, the side fell down and he fell - God thank you, it was fine, but we have had to get a new bed. Many people like the convertible cribs - those that turn into a toddler bed and a twin bed. I've never seen one with an attached table change, but I guess you would have more use of a sofa bed. Good luck:)

Lol the comment below me! After sharing my bed back hurts, especially since I'm barely five feet tall and can barely reach him sometimes when I'm on my toes Tippy, but I think there is no way around it!

I was going to suggest down sides, but after reading a comment from another woman, perhaps not a good idea! Mine is a cot, so it can use up to 5 years. the only thing wrong with it is that it strains your back so bad having to bend the sides to take baby. He is 10 months old when he stands at times and you can do it easily, but mostly it is very low and you have the right to achieve what works best for you inch ever honey, good luck.

I have 2 children and they are now 5 and 7. I bought two beds convertible to them and they were great for the switch to the use of cribs, but honestly, I bought two different styles of beds when they were up all the beds young. The convertible beds become queen beds, although I had enough space in their rooms for the bed full size, it makes no sense to us because they take up much room. I ended up getting my son a bunk bed so he could sleep overs, and he is now, and I bought my daughter a canopy bed with a lantern in the bottom ... so pretty. I still have the head and foot board for both the best and only use my daughter in our room for a spare guest bed. The problem is that you end up throwing all other parts, unless you want to keep for 25 + years to come for your child to have a child. I have saved my daughter and parts are under the spare bed room. I do not get rid of extra parts from my son. The headboard / foot board does not really look that great when they are converted into a bed full size because you can see the holes that were used to make the bed together.

So what is my advice? Really think about the size of your room and you'll be able to fit into this before investing in a convertible crib. In my honest opinion, I think it is.
