Bury Technologies

Bury TechnologiesWhat do I need to cover an object (technology) if I bury in the ground and retrieve a year later?

If I bury a pice of technology in the soil should I cover it in plastic and steel box of metal or plastic will be enough? I want to leave buried for a year and a half at most before I dig. I have my reasons for doing so (do not ask). And no, this is not an illegal weapon or murder.

OOO sounds exciting! I wonder what it is .... I guess. I bet it's like a DVD player and a DVD of your family vacation or something! How sweet.
You need to do to protect and to avoid disintigrate! It will get mold and other things about her. I would put it in a steel container as big as it will
1. much more protected from the pressure FRO dirt and stone around
2. it stops the air to come into rust or mold or break the thing!
3. water ceases to be in (if it is completely waterproof)
Plastice not do this alone because it bends and breaks. Just to be safe use steel. If possible! Good luck!

If you want to say what protection do you need to give the equipment to avoid damaging it depends where you bury and depth. If there is too much pressure on it or it will not be crushed by cars, etc. you might be OK with just plastic. Have you thought of a stainless steel box with galvanized rubber gasket around the lid to retain moisture.

neoprene rubber, maybe a geomembrane.
