Others, however, have found some options that make the integration of their wireless and wireline phones a reality.
The first option is in the form of a cordless phone that allows the user to make or receive cellular calls. These phones connect to your cell phone, or through a docking station for the cell phone or Bluetooth. Users are able to bring their cell phone in the house and receive all incoming calls to that line on their phone. In the case of long distance calls, which gives them the advantage of signal reliability and cost savings from their cell phone plan. It also allows the option of conference call or to allow several family members to be on the line at the same time during a call. An added benefit of using the phone for cellular calls while at home is that it may help to preserve the battery for mobile phone because it is not used for over calls made to any home
With the docking station, cell phones must be inserted into the hold for the system to work, but it can be recharged during this time. For phones that use Bluetooth to connect the cell phone must just be in close proximity, usually within about 30 feet. In both cases, the user can decide to make an individual call by cell phone or fixed, by selecting the corresponding line.
Several manufacturers offer wireless phones that make a cellular connection. Motorola, RCA and Panasonic are among some of those responsible.
For those who already have a cordless phone there is a second option. There are docking stations that can be purchased to enable their cell phones and cordless phone exists to make this connection. Most popular is the Dock-N-Talk using a Bluetooth connection. For those without a Bluetooth phone, an adapter is available to allow the unit to function with cell phones, for example.
While wireless phones can receive your cell phone calls can be a step towards optimizing the benefits of options and terrestrial cellular communication. This simple step in the integration of the two can lead to significant cost saving for most families.
