Accommodation in Tasmania? My young are out of Tassie for a week end of October. We've been before, so they do that the North West.
From Launceston, Burnie, Stanley / Smithton, Strahan, Cradle Mountain and return to Launceston.
In Launceston, we booked and paid for the Mercury and Cradle Mountain, we booked Cradle Mountain Lodge. We are members of Accor and enjoy discounts, etc..
In Strahan Bungalows Strahan, they stay.
We need accommodation for Burnie and Stanley or Smithton area.
My mom recently had a knee replacement so many places with elevators or ground-ideally, it can make a staircase if it has too. We're trying to get places with a separate shower as climbing over the tub is difficult for her, somewhere with a separate shower or at least to help track spanning the bathtub.
I looked online and everything is really old and averages 3 stars. Ideally, we would prefer a new location or 4 star +. Not really a B & B. We love places nearest or action as possible.
Thus, suggestions for Burnie and Stanley / Smithton area.
Any other suggestions for things to do would be great.
Thank you in advance.
You should try Tall Timbers in Smithton, I stayed there a while ago, not too flashy, but its 4 stars and they have options like the style of the cab or car etc content and sound in a good position to explore the region.
On the beach there Burnie Voyager Motor Inn. I know it's only a motor inn, but if you get an executive room look pretty nice photos. According to the website of his right in the middle of Burnie. I also included a link to the Burnie apartments downtown that are at heart too.
Im not sure of the handicaps, but you can ask when booking, I think most of these places have a suitable room.
good luck:)
