Designer Tv UnitsEx-accountant in California accused of embezzling 10 million dollars. Your thoughts?

VISTA, Calif. - A former accountant embezzled $ 9.9 million, forcing the company to do layoffs, as it has bought 400 pairs of shoes she kept in a closet size room decorated with a chandelier crystal and plasma TV, authorities say.

Annette Yeomans, 51, went to the Vista jail on Friday and was booked for the study of grand theft and embezzlement. She stood Saturday at the county jail in San Diego, instead of $ 10 million bail.

It was not immediately clear if she had a lawyer.

Authorities allege that Yeomans diverted money from 2001 to 2007 while she was chief financial officer for the quality of Woodwork, Inc., a company in San Marcos cabinets.

She spent at least $ 240,000 on 400 pairs of shoes, $ 300,000 on designer clothes and 160 scholarships worth $ 2,000 each, investigators say. It has also renovated a bedroom closet with a chandelier and a television 32 inches, they said.

"On a weekly basis Yeomans spent $ 25,000 on his credit card, then pay the balance on the following Monday with company funds, said Sgt. Mark Varnau Sheriff's Financial Crimes Unit. http://news .yahoo.com/s/ap/20090307/ap_o ...

Edit:

It's like every week someone else has committed another fraud or embezzlement. This is not like that happened "yesterday". Most of these people have done this for years. For years! No wonder the economy is boosted. Bernie Madoff, Aurthur Nadel, Marcus Schrenk, Citibank, AIG, Goldman Sachs, Wellsfargo, just to name a few. This is one of many reasons why our economy is so pushed.

Greed is contagious, and it goes everywhere. Once a certain type of person discovers they can get away with theft, their audacity knows no bounds. aˆ  °)

extraordinary amounts of wealth can have adverse effects of moral fiber. This is not a unique case.

Read "Farewell Address" of President Dwight Eisenhower. Military-industrial complex targets have highlighted the special interests of the best interests of the American Mainstream.

Interestingly, this gentleman is a small fish scale scandal.
