First time for my projector

The HD20 Optoma is the first projector I bought. It seems fantastic shot home on my 100 "screen. I hung onto my PS3 and HTPC. The image is smooth playing video games or watching TV or movies, no blur or trails. I am very happy with the results for the price. Two problems with this projector. First, you need a room dark enough for it to look its best. With the sun and the shadows open the table is washed quite easy , which I expected for the price. In addition, the black is poor, especially in night scenes. The second problem is that it has no audio output jack. I had to buy a AV receiver so I can get a sound out, because everything is connected via HDMI. Overall for the price I love what brings the Optoma and recommend it to anyone looking for a theater projector with a low budget home projector

I bought the HD20 to use as my main TV. I have mounted on the ceiling and chairs are 14 feet back. I have a 80 "diag screen panels of smooth and painted with flat white paint and a black member made of 2x4 white. I put up in the basement, a room in summer designed as a home theater. I have an HD receiver antenna. I am very happy with the projector. All I can do is compare (memory), it defines the plasma at Best Buy . The picture is super sharp and colors are very good (with an HD signal). I see no motion blur / objects that I see on the LCD boards. I run the "low" lamp setting and is very bright with a 13W CFL lamp in the back of the room with us. My wife is easier to read if it wants. The pixels (screen door effect) are first visible at about 1.5-2 meters from the screen. The bottom line is money.'s largest TV at Best Buy is a 65 "plasma at $ 2700. The HD20 was $ 1000 from Amazon with free shipping and my screen is bigger than 80 ". I think I made the right choice.

The family loves him, the picture is very good, no real problem, he set up if you plan before installing. We have installed an HDMI cable dedicted to unity because the contractor held CAT5 screwed up and baluns do not work on its cables, it does not work on cables running outside plant walls, but what good is that, do not go new HDMI cable if you open the walls and ceiling. Leval black and contrast is not as good as 51 "plasma, but at 104" of the image size more than makes up for it. Sharpness and detail are excellent. No significant RBE and the noise is not a factor when viewing actual content of the eco lamp parameters, it does pick up a little off, but only briefly. Sources are DMA2100 (1080p 60Hz), HD-A30 (1080p 24Hz) and Wii (YUV) via TX-SR606, no problem of synchronization with a source once dedicated HDMI cable has been installed. Ceiling mounted with PM105 Dayton.
