Drop Leaf Table

My kitchen table is round and on a pedestal. I wonder how I can go about to rebuild it into a drop-leaf table and what parts I need. My apartment is small, very small.

I do not recommend that you do. It requires special hinges and the top should be cut and placed on a particular edge cutting edges with a router. No doubt also that the base would get in the way and require modification. A little more hassle than it is. Search to buy one already done instead of trying to change a table.

Can not recommend this without even trying woodwind work shop ... look around a folding table half-moon, perhaps keep an eye on garage sales ... it is much easier to refinish a table used to access your table. .. trust me on that one! Good luck
