Leather Armchair

My grandfather was a leather armchair, he was a heavy smoker. He left this chair for me and the problem is it smells so bad because of smoking. It makes my room smelly. The condition of the chair is very well yet it looks like new. I unzipped the back of the chair and I found that the smell comes mainly from the sponge inside the chair. The sponge is sewn so I can not remove it. Is there anything to get rid of this smell?

First go to Lowe's and get desicant. There is a bath crystals that remove moisture from basements and others. But it also eliminates odors from cars and furniture. Put it in little cloth bags (like tea bags) in the chair next to the foam. Cover the chair with a blanket for a week.

After removing the cover and pouches desicant, leave the chair in a well ventilated area for a day. Then, obtain "Bet odor remover" for animals and mix as indicated. Gambling is an enzyme dissolving real steps odor. Spray the inside of the chair as best you can.

When it dries, your chair, as the smell is new. Polish the leather with a pledge of Nice and it should go.

keep a spray fabric freshener or neutralize an air freshener inside the chair. you can put some dryer sheets in and changing every day. careful not to get all the products on the leather well! if the weather is good bring the chair outside and open the door and let the air cool it.
