Google and the 3D software - sounds like an odd couple, is not it? But Google SketchUp Pro 6, you do not need Pixar class skills to build just about anything in 3D. SketchUp Pro 6 does not have the steep learning curve found in 3D software such as heavy Autodesk Maya and Maxon Cinema 4D. Again, it has not any power (or the exorbitant price) of a full package, or in 3D. But SketchUp Pro 6 is ideal for quickly creating conceptual models of everything from new building products and interior room.

SketchUp Pro is different because it is a very intuitive modeler. You can quickly draw standard shapes like rectangles or circles and arcs, or draw with a freehand. During the first outline of a shape, it appears as a flat object in 2D. Selection of Push / Pull tool and click and drag on the form gives 3D depth (for example, a 2D rectangle increases suddenly to become as a building). You can move around forms, extend and shorten, rotate on an axis, and regroup. Snap-in properties, things line endpoint detection, visual screens, and a tape measure tool to help you up and down the right proportions.

To take your designs beyond simple plans, you can color their segments with the Paint Bucket tool, or use one of the textures more than 100 documents - for example, in a red brick wall, certain style of shingles a roof, or the grass and pavement on the ground.
