Pinnacle Pctv Media Center

Pinnacle Pctv Media CenterI need drivers for Pinnacle PCTV Windows Vista Media Center!?

I just bought Pinnacle PCTV USB 2.0 55e/150e. In fact, I bought for my laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. Pilots who had come with the package containing the Windows XP drivers only. So I tried it on my desktop which is Windows XP Professional SP2. But I still had problems. I installed the software as indicated in the quick start guide. After the Pinnacle Media Center 4.0 was installed, I restart my computer and I tried to scan channels. (I used my Cable TV cord for input). But he always scanned and found no channels (this same Cable TV works well with my TV). Then when I attempted to access TV from Media Center it came an error message: No devices found TV. I reconnected and checked all the connections. Everything was OK. Then I searched for drivers online the ones I'm on were on the Pinnacle Windows Vista Commitment. They said to download Pinnacle Media Center patch 4.7. But the file size of 251 MB. I use a slow dial-up connection. I take 15 to 20 hours downloading such files even if you use a download manager.

I need help with that. Is it possible that I can download only the drivers without the Pinnacle Media Center? While I can use my TV Tuner Device with Windows Media Center (Windows Vista). This will reduce the file size I'll have to download and also I am not very comfortable with Pinnacle Media Center, as I am with Windows Media Center. So is there a way I can do the same thing with my desktop (Windows XP) that does not have a Windows Media Center itself.

Thank you in advance. It's very frustrating that I can not use my camera.

You're throwing the term "media center" around, but referring to two different pieces of software, much as I can tell MCE windows and Pinnacle Media Center. So I'm not sure that you are talking about when. As far as I can tell, your tuner is not compatible with Windows MCE. See the link below. Compatibility with XP or Vista is not the same as compatibility with MCE. You should check this with Pinnacle. Generally, for tuners that are compatible with MCE, there are two sets of drivers. One for applications with ERM, the other without. In addition, they may not be compatible with each other.
