Rabbit Shack

Rabbit ShackA nightmare for a dream

When I was a little girl, I had a dream of what it would be like when I grew up. It goes like this:

Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl with a big heart. A knight in armor came and rescued her and protected her against all the bad things in the world. He bought her a pink dress, pink and built his castle, and she became a princess. There was a nearby meadow, where sported pink bunny rabbits. It was a perfect life fairy tale, and she lived happily.

My parents told me that my dream would not come true. They said not everything could be pink.

"There are no more knights," father said. "And even if there were, their armor is not shiny."

"If you want a pink dress, you should buy yourself," said the mother. "And pink is a color for a dress poorly, because the color fades and it is hard to get spots."

"There is no pink castles," father said. "And even if there would be much too expensive for you to ever live in. You'll be lucky if you find yourself in a decent house."

"You'll never be a princess." My mother said.

"Everything can not be pink. Tell our father." Bunny rabbits are not rosy, and they do not stay long rabbits, and they become old and gray, and then they die. "

"People do live happily ever after," my parents told me. "Life is a struggle from day to day."

"You'll never be a princess, and you have no choice in the matter."

"The real world is not like a fairy tale."

Time passed and I grew from a little girl to young lady, but I never stopped believing. I never lost hope. I never stopped dreaming. Life would be so much better if I had a pink castle. I'd be so happy if I were a princess. The world would be so much cuter if rabbits were pink.

I waited and waited for my knight in shining armor to come. Mother told me I was too old to be saved. Father said I was too big to be protected. They told me to grow, to renounce my stupid dreams, and get my head out of clouds.

I had almost given up hope when I met him. The first thing he said was "there is something special about you."

"There is nothing special for me," I said.

"Yes, there is," he said. "You have a big heart."

I could not believe it. How did he know?

"You're so beautiful," he said.

He knew things about me that nobody knew.

"I am a knight in armor, he said," and I came to save you and protect you. I want to buy a pink dress. I want to build a castle pink. You're going to be a princess, with rabbits pink bunny. "

"Pink Bunny Rabbit is real? Tell me.

"Of course they are," he said. "You have a life fairy tale and live happily ever after. I'll make all your dreams become reality. "

He started shouting at me and call me horrible things.

"I'm sorry," he said, "but you are so beautiful, and I want to save you and that sometimes I get angry. "

He started hitting me.

"Forgive me," he said. "It's for your own good. You have such a big heart, and I need to protect yourself while I violently."

He spent all my money.

"I put everything in your dream of having a castle pink," he said.
