Replay Media Center How to Increase intervals Skip and Replay Media Center in Windows 7 Have you always see movies in Media Center? And do you think of the bucket and the intervals for the replay is too short for you? In fact ... Media Center has a default jump ahead of time of 29 seconds and seven seconds of replay time. If you want to increase the intervals to give you a feww fewer clicks, just read this article carefully and you will get what you really want. I'll show you how to increase jump and re-entry intervals in Windows 7 Media Center in the registry because Microsoft does not provide a framework for this in Media Center.
To access the registry, click Start, type "regedit" into the search box of Windows, and press "Enter." If you are prompted by UAC to allow changes, click "Yes." In Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Media Center \ Settings VideoSettings \ Click once on the button to display VideoSettings values on the right panel. Double-click "SkipAheadInterval" value on right pane. In the Edit DWORD Value window, click the button "Decimal radio. You should now see 29000 listed under Value data. The data value is listed in milliseconds, so 29,000 milliseconds is 29 seconds. To set the skip interval of one minute, change the value to 60000. For two minutes, 120000, etc. Click on "OK" when finished. Go in the right panel to find the value InstantReplayInterval and double-click it to change the playback interval. Now click on the button "Decimal radio" and once again you can see the data value in milliseconds. Change the value data to replay your preferred time interval in milliseconds and click "OK". Close the registry and you're done! Note: If your Windows Media Center is running, you must restart it before your changes take effect.
