Video Storage Boxes

Motion Box, Is this the best place to store the videos on the house?
I go through dozens of mini-DV tapes of one hour each. I want to make it easier for me to access and share videos with family and friends in the future.

There will be hours to download images f Motionbox is the fastest and best there is for downloading video and access? or is it faster, better alternative?

I'm about to buy a Mini DVD camcorder to make it easier to download in the future.

If you are at all concerned about the video quality or ease of transfer, please do not buy a DVD camcorder basis. Because the compression is so high (more than hard disk or flash memory or miniDV tape) and because the files are stored in VOB or VRO or other format, you can not transfer directly.

MiniDV tape offers the highest quality available because it compresses the least. Next best are the hard drive and flash camcorders.
