Warming Tray

Warming TraySoiling cat and do not use the litter tray?
Soiling and not using a litter box are problems that many cat owners sometimes face with indoor cats. Sometimes this can be a sign of illness and a visit to the vet can solve the problem. It could be the cat is suffering from bladder problems or constipation and it begins to associate the litter try with the pain. Several times, indoor cats can be allergic to certain foods or chemicals in the house, carpet shampoo, or painting and the explanation may be quite simple. In other cases your cat may be requested for the litter box to change more often, or it can be satisfied with the bedding used. Try finer grained litter or stop using those with a deodorant added. Other possibilities are that the tank is placed too close to the cat's food or in a high traffic area where feet constantly tramp past. If lack of peace and privacy might be the problem, a hooded litter box may be the solution.

Never smack or scold an indoor cat for soiling, even if you caught in the act: it will increase feelings of insecurity and make the behavior worse. The old idea of rubbing the cat's nose in it is even more productive-cons, the cat may enjoy the smell and want more! Start by cleaning the area with a warm solution of biological detergent, followed by the spirit of the surgery or a weak solution of bleach and a scattering of baking soda. Check your fabric for color fast first!

Do not use disinfectants containing chlorine or ammonia, it can feel clean and fresh to you, but a cat that feels as if another cat was in the house and brought him back here. Some disinfectants can also be absorbed by the legs.

Discourage the cat to reconsider the contaminated area by establishing a sheet of aluminum foil slightly narrowed on him or try feeding the cat at this place, once it is completely clean. No cats soil its feeding place. If the cat tends to leave a deposit in the middle of your bed, what appears to be a favorite spot for a cat indoors if the cat is furious at being left alone or abandoned when the family goes on vacation, fix a plastic sheet on the bed. Remember that once you understand why the cat is soiling its usually easy to correct.
