Wood Suit Hangers

Hey, I was looking to invest in wooden hangers, so I went to the store to buy some just to be surprised that there were three kinds of wood hangers! The three types that I saw was the support suit, shirt and coat hanger, hanger and trousers. Are there different kinds of wood hangers? Is there a difference in the design of the suit and shirt hanger bar / other than the crossbar? Or should the hook just a shirt hanger / coat hanger and trousers combined? There seems to be a small notch on the ends of the liner hanger / support that clothes do not ... Does anyone know what I mean? Can someone tell me the differences between the two and why?
